PINOY PARAZZI: LPG-MA, BFP launch ‘ProSafe’ vs. fire disasters

THE LIQUEFIED Petroleum Gas Marketers’ Association (LPG-MA) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) have launched a collaborative project to forcefully advance public safety against fire emergencies through the performance highly responsive activities countrywide.

Dubbed the Promotion of Safety Against Fire Emergencies, or ProSafe, the three-year project was formally launched with the signing of a memorandum of agreement between Atty. Miguel Ponce Jr., the chief of staff of LPG-MA Rep. Arnel Ty, and Chief Supt. Carlito Romero, the officer-in-charge of the BFP.

Under the agreement, LPG-MA and the BFP will combine forces and pool resources to aggressively promote community safety via the conduct of fire drills and short courses on disaster mitigation at the barangay level. They will also help marshal fire volunteer organizations nationwide.
