BALITA.PH: BFP, LPG-MA launch ‘ProSafe’ vs. Fire Disasters
MANILA, Nov. 12 — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers’ Association (LPG-MA) launched on Wednesday a collaborative project to forcefully advance public safety against fire emergencies through the performance of highly responsive activities countrywide.
Dubbed ProSafe, or Promotion of Safety Against Fire Emergencies, the three-year project was formally launched with the signing of a memorandum of agreement between Chief Supt. Carlito Romero, officer-in-charge of the BFP, and Atty. Miguel Ponce Jr., chief of staff of LPG-MA Rep. Arnel Ty.
Under the agreement, the BFP and LPG-MA will combine forces and pool resources to aggressively promote community safety via the conduct of fire drills and short courses on disaster mitigation at the barangay level.
They will also help marshal fire volunteer organizations nationwide. (PNA)
